Gusto mo bang makaranas ng kamangha-manghang provision mula sa Panginoon? Let’s be encouraged by today’s devotion as we continue our series “The Miracles of Jesus Part 2”.

“Ihulog ninyo ang lambat sa gawing kanan ng bangka at makakahuli kayo,” sabi ni Jesus. Inihulog nga nila ang lambat at nang hilahin nila ito ay hindi nila makaya sa dami ng huli. Sinabi kay Pedro ng alagad na minamahal ni Jesus, “Ang Panginoon iyon!”

Juan 21:67

Grabe si God! Hidilyn Diaz, the first Filipino Olympic gold medalist in 2021 could not stop saying. What she said in full was, Hindi ako makapaniwala na nandoon ‘yung pangalan ko sa Olympic record. So I’m really thankful. Grabe si God! Grabe si God! She recognized that something this great could not have come out of her own strength even if she had been training for years. It could only be God.

Ito rin ang naisip ni John when he said, “It is the Lord! He and the other disciples, including the seasoned fisherman Simon Peter, were out fishing the whole night. Kahit isang dilis, wala silang nahuli. A man who stood by the shore asked them about their catch. He told them, Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some. When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish” (John 21:6, NIV). Simon Peter couldn’t wait for the boat to dock to see his resurrected master again. He jumped into the water to get to Jesus faster. The feelings of awe, wonder, and love came rushing into his heart again.

This was the same scenario when Jesus first met Simon Peter at the lake at the start of His ministry. No catch the whole night until Jesus told him to let down the nets. Afterwards, Simon Peter’s eyes were opened. We read in Luke 5:8 (NIV), When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, ‘Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!’

Its amazing how Jesus exercises power over everything, including the fish He ordered to swim toward Simon Peter’s boat. If this fisherman can recognize Jesus power over the sea, why shouldnt we?

Whatever you need today, be it financial blessing or physical strength, the Lord Jesus can provide. Trust Him and let Him amaze you. We hope you’ll tune in again tomorrow for our series “The Miracles of Jesus Part 2”.
