Raquel grew up into difficult circumstances. She is the eldest among seven siblings, orphaned early by their father. Their mother single-handedly raised them. Dahil walang mataas na pinag-aralan ang kanilang ina, nangatulong siya, naglabada, at nagtinda ng mga kakanin. All the siblings helped their mother earn a living, juggling work with their studies.

Through hard work, endurance, and perseverance, the siblings completed college. However, one by one, they married and moved away, leaving Raquel to care for their mother alone. Raquel tirelessly pursued her career and became successful. Natupad niya ang pangarap na mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang ina. Nakakilala na rin siya sa Panginoon at na-discover niya ang pagmamahal at katapatan ng Diyos sa kanilang buhay.

Nagkaroon ng pusong mapagbigay si Raquel at naipamuhay niya ang 1 Timoteo 5:8 by taking care of her family. Later on, she established an organization that helps underprivileged children in their community, following the instructions of Proverbs 22:6 (NIV), “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” She initiated a feeding program and conducted Bible studies for them.

One of the children was eleven-year-old Daniela. Her father was a drug addict and her mother was a promiscuous woman, having children with different men. Daniela left home and sought shelter in Raquel’s home. She informed Daniela’s mother that she would be staying with her. Bitbit ang mga pangaral ni Raquel at natutunan sa Salita ng Diyos, nakapagtapos si Daniela. Isa na siyang teacher ngayon and continues to walk with God. By the grace of God, nagbunga ang pagkalinga ni Raquel na ipinakita niya hindi lang sa sariling pamilya kundi pati sa iba.
