Kind Words
Nagpapahina sa loob ng isang tao ang kabalisahan, ngunit ang magandang balita’y may dulot na kasiglahan.
Mga Kawikaan 12:25
We live in a world na napaka-unpredictable at stressful. Napakarami nating kailangang asikasuhin. Kailangan nating mag-work at alagaan ang ating pamilya. We need to maintain our households, budget our money, and raise our children. There are a thousand things that need our attention, tapos dagdag pa rito ang stressors like traffic, mataas na presyo ng bilihin, arguments sa bahay at sa office, and so on. Minsan sobra tayong anxious sa dami ng iniisip natin that we become easily annoyed, irritated, or downright mean. As in isang inconvenience or masakit na salita na lang galing sa boss o asawa and we’ll totally lose it!
This is why, as believers, kailangan nating maging mindful sa pagsasalita. Hindi natin alam if a person is under so much stress, and we are adding to their difficulty by speaking or acting in an unkind way. Kailangan nating i-consider ang bawat conversation as an opportunity to be kind. The Bible compares kind words to honey (Proverbs 16:24). Kaya nating mag-impart ng tamis sa isang tao with uplifting words. We can help turn an atmosphere of worry into that of gladness. It will cost us nothing, kailangan lang nating maging sympathetic sa ating kausap at maging mindful sa ating mga sinasabi.
We are instructed to be kind to one another (Ephesians 4:32), at isa sa avenues para dito ay conversations. So, try nating maging encouraging at understanding kapag nakikipag-usap tayo. On the other hand, kung tayo naman ang sobrang stressed out, nais rin naman nating makarinig ng mabubuting salita. So let us choose to speak kindly.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, fill me with kindness, so I may speak with kindness. Tulungan po Ninyo ako to speak uplifting words.
APPLICATION
Do you give yourself time to think kung ano ang sasabihin mo? Kino-consider mo ba ang kalagayan ng iyong kausap? Do you know how to encourage people? This week, say one kind thing to at least one person.
