The heaviness in her heart remained for days that she prayed to God to give her a new job ASAP. Megan cant wait to start in a new workplace.

While doing her morning devotions, biglang napaiyak si Megan. “I will sustain you,” ang sabi ni Lord sa devotional. Hindi niya kailangang mag-resign sa work dahil sa conflict with her co-worker. The Lord wants her to stay because He will sustain her. He does that not because He is a mean God or gusto Niya tayong pahirapan. He allows troubles because He wants us to grow in our dependence on Him.

In every difficult situation, God promises to sustain us. We can rely on Him to get us through the day. We receive His grace daily so we can extend that grace to others too. He keeps our heads above water so we wont drown in our sorrow and pain.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, I admit I want to escape this trial and get on with my life. But You allowed me to be here for Your divine purpose. Carry the burden for me for it is too much to bear and give me the grace to press on. Amen.

APPLICATION

Recall a previous challenging situation. How did the Lord sustain you? What did you learn about God and yourself in that trial?
