Madalas Ka Bang Mag-Alala at Mag-Overthink?

Huwag kayong mabalisa tungkol sa anumang bagay. Sa halip, hingin ninyo sa Diyos ang lahat ng inyong kailangan sa pamamagitan ng panalanging may pasasalamat … Bilang pagtatapos, mga kapatid, dapat maging laman ng inyong isip ang mga bagay na karapat-dapat at kapuri-puri: mga bagay na totoo, marangal, matuwid, malinis, kaibig-ibig, at kagalang-galang.

Kinakabahan ka ba whenever you feel like something is about to go wrong? When a big problem or conflict comes, do you find yourself thinking of the worst possible scenario?

Hindi ka nag-iisa. According to a 2021 report from the World Health Organization, there were about 3 million cases of anxiety disorders sa bansa noong 2017. Hindi pa kasama roon ang unreported or undiagnosed cases.

Actually, being worried is a valid feeling dahil sa mga problema at bad news na naririnig natin on a daily basis. But, worrying and overthinking will lead us nowhere. In fact, too much of it would only cause more serious problems. It can cause us to lose our health, our peace, and even our relationships.

When worrying starts to happen, we can fight it with God’s Word found in Philippians 4:6, 8, “Huwag kayong mabalisa tungkol sa anumang bagay. Sa halip, hingin ninyo sa Diyos ang lahat ng inyong kailangan sa pamamagitan ng panalanging may pasasalamat … Bilang pagtatapos, mga kapatid, dapat maging laman ng inyong isip ang mga bagay na karapat-dapat at kapuri-puri: mga bagay na totoo, marangal, matuwid, malinis, kaibig-ibig, at kagalang-galang.”

Hindi lingid sa Diyos ang pinagdadaanan natin and He wants us to bring our concerns to Him. Instead of overthinking about our problems, let us pray and thank the Lord kasi alam nating Siya ang bahala sa ikinakabahala natin. 

God knows what will happen at sinasabi Niyang we don’t need to worry dahil hindi Niya tayo iiwan. Instead of filling our minds with negative thoughts, let us ask the Lord to fill it with godly thoughts instead.
