One Breath Away from Burnout?

Kahit na ang mga kabataan ay napapagod at nanlulupaypay. Ngunit muling lumalakas at sumisigla ang nagtitiwala kay Yahweh. Lilipad silang tulad ng mga agila. Sila’y tatakbo ngunit hindi mapapagod, sila’y lalakad ngunit hindi manghihina.

Isaias 40:30–31

Have you ever been on your phone and a notification popped up, telling you that your device is about to die if you don’t plug it in a power source? Pero binalewala mo ang notification and you thought to yourself, mamaya na ako magcha-charge.

But then, you forgot to recharge. Your screen goes black. You’re upset at yourself because you knew the energy was low, yet you ignored the signs.

Do you know that we do this in our own lives, too?

Marami sa atin, bigla-bigla na lang nagba-blackout, nagkakasakit, o nade-depress dahil sa sobrang pagod. Low-batt na. Burnout na. It’s such a busy world that we have a hard time wrapping our minds around the fact that sometimes, God wants us to be still and rest.

Alam ng Panginoon na hindi tayo makaka-function nang maayos kung hindi tayo humihinga at nagpapahinga. Kaya’t huwag kang mag-alala, naiintindihan Niya na pagod ka na. Lahat ay napapagod at nanlulupaypay — iyan ang sabi sa Salita Niya.

Hindi ka failure tuwing nakakaramdam ka ng pagod. Huwag kang ma-guilty. Huwag ma-frustrate. Your Creator knows that you have limits, and that you need rest. Nais Niyang ipahinga mo ang iyong katawan, puso, at isipan. Sa ating pagkapagod, we can be honest to God sa pamamagitan ng panalangin. Plug in to His strength that never runs out so we can experience not just physical or emotional rest, kundi restfulness ng soul.

When we are one breath away from burnout, God invites us to come to Him and have all our needs provided for — even rest. We can’t go on nang hindi nagpapahinga, siguradong manghihina tayo! Ano ang buhay kung walang lakas at sigla? Rest in His presence, so you can run and not be weary, walk and not faint.

LET’S PRAY

Panginoong Jesus, pagod na po ako. Tulungan Mo po akong matagpuan ang tunay na kapahingahan na nanggagaling sa Iyo. May You help me rest. May You restore my tired mind, body, and soul. Thank You because today, I receive Your rest. Amen.
