Put Your Thoughts on a Conveyor Belt
Your thoughts might be influenced by a lot of things.
Still, each thought should be held captive. To take our thoughts captive means to not allow each and every thought to quickly control our beliefs, actions, and emotions. Kumbaga, just because we think it doesn’t mean we need to respond to it.
Think of your thoughts on a conveyor belt. Some of those thoughts go into your actions, some go into your feelings, some go into your beliefs. You must examine each thought on the conveyor belt to determine if it should influence you or not. As each thought appears, ask: Does this thought help me get toward my goals in life? Does it align with God’s truth or not?
Paano kung hindi? Capture those thoughts and make them obedient to Christ. Hindi sapat na alisin lang ang lies and negative thoughts. We need to replace them with God’s truth. We take our thoughts captive by ridding our minds of thoughts not of God’s and believing those that are.
Capturing our negative thoughts and making them obedient to Christ won’t be easy. We can’t do it without God’s help. Mabuti na lang na laging handang tumulong ang Panginoon when we ask Him in prayer.
Ask God to reveal when you are having an unhealthy, negative thought — then ask Him to help you reject it. Pinakamahalaga sa lahat, pray for God to replace the lie with His truth. Kaya mahalagang isapuso ang Bible, so we know the truths we can replace the lies with.
Panginoon, help me capture each and every thought that comes to my mind and make them obedient to You. May You constantly remind me of Your truth and promises upang magkaroon po ako ng isip at buhay na nakalulugod sa Iyo. Amen.
When a thought comes to your mind, apply the “conveyor belt hack.” You may write your thoughts down and pray for them. Seek the Scriptures for God’s truth.
