Juan 8:36

Do you feel trapped in the routines of life, thinking that you can’t escape? Many people around us try to look OK on the outside pero sobrang duguan na pala inside. Do you know someone like that?

Jessica had many insecurities, and she conformed to the patterns of this world. How she dressed, how she lived, and how she decided were based on what other people would think or say about her. She tried to please everyone, believing  that the more people who will like her, the more she will become happy and satisfied.

Her friend, Joy, shared about the love of God. Sabi niya, through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we can receive freedom from the bondage of our sins and have eternal life. Jessica accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior that day, the starting point of her experiencing true freedom.

Unti-unti na niyang nararanasan ang mabuhay to please God, and not people. “Sa wakas, malaya na ako. There is freedom in Jesus,” she shares. Finally, she is not just OK on the outside but on the inside too.
