Self-Care Tips

Let’s have some more self-care tips in today’s last part of our series “Healthy and Well.”
Sumagot si Jesus, “Ibigin mo ang Panginoon mong Diyos nang buong puso, nang buong kaluluwa, at nang buong pag-iisip. Ito ang pinakamahalagang utos. Ito naman ang pangalawa: Ibigin mo ang iyong kapwa gaya ng pag-ibig mo sa iyong sarili.

Maraming puwedeng gawin pagdating sa mental and emotional self-care. Here are some tips:
1. Prioritize your quiet time with the Lord. Read the Bible and pray each day. Puwede mo rin gamitin ang Tanglaw app habang nasa commute. Punuin ang iyong puso, kaluluwa, at isip ng Salita ng Diyos para hindi ka madaling ma-distract ng worries at kung anu-anong pag-iisip.
2. Practice setting boundaries. Sabi ni Lord, “Ibigin mo ang iyong kapwa gaya ng pag-ibig mo sa iyong sarili.” Being a people-pleaser or allowing people to use and abuse us is not what the Lord wants. Love others as you love yourself, and show yourself love by setting healthy boundaries with others.
3. Be thankful. Maraming studies ang nagsasabi that practicing gratitude has many benefits. It improves mental health, interpersonal relationships, pati na rin ang quality ng iyong pagtulog. To get started, maglista ng tatlong bagay, big or small, that you are thankful for each day.
4. Gumawa ng listahan ng Bible verses na nagbibigay gaan sa iyong kalooban. The Word of God is full of encouragement and comfort! Isulat ang iyong favorite verses sa sticky notes at ilagay ang mga ito sa lugar kung saan madali mong makikita araw-araw.
5. Be open to counseling or therapy. May mga Christian counselor at mental health professional na maaari kang tulungan kapag ikaw ay may dinadaanan na mabigat.
