Pagkatapos niyang magsalita sa kanila, ang Panginoong Jesus ay iniakyat sa langit at umupo sa kanan ng Diyos.

“Go and preach the gospel to the whole world” was Jesus’ last instructions to His disciples before He was taken up to heaven. And even today, God is inviting us to join Him in His work to redeem a lost world, to share the Good News. Being followers of Christ, that’s our mandate but how can ordinary people like you and me share God’s love to the whole world?

Parang mahirap gawin pero sa tulong ng Diyos hindi imposible. A perfect example is Dr. Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, producer of the longest Christian television show, The 700 Club. He obeyed God’s instruction to establish the first Christian television network in the world kahit na wala siyang pambili ng TV station at ni wala silang TV set!

In 1959, with the $3 left from donations, he filed incorporation papers for Christian Broadcasting Network, Inc., CBN, and opened a bank account. He then raised funds and purchased a defunct TV station. On October 1, 1961, CBN made its first broadcast that barely reached the city limits. But over the decades, God grew the ministry exponentially. Its Christian programming is now in 150 nations in more than 100 languages around the world. Pat also founded CBN’s humanitarian arm, Operation Blessing, and Regent University. He served the Lord faithfully, hosting live television for 62 years until his heavenly Father called him home on June 8, 2023, at the age of ninety-three.

What an amazing legacy of faith, obedience, and love for God! His last words were, “You can trust the Lord. God is faithful. He absolutely does what He says He’ll do.”
