What if God Says Yes?
Welcome back to our series “Yes or No.” Expect today’s devotion to give you a fresh perspective about getting answers to your prayers.
Hinawakan siya ni Jesus at sinabi, “Oo, nais kong gumaling ka at maging malinis.” At gumaling at luminis nga agad ang ketongin.
Mateo 8:3
Ang simpleng test of seeing a glass half full or half empty is usually used to check one’s perspective on life. Depende sa ating sitwasyon, we might say a different thing at a time. When things are going well, we are hopeful, and we see our progress. But when we are going through difficulties, we see each trial in a negative way.
This is exactly what we can expect sa lalaking ketongin sa kuwento sa Mateo 8:1–4. Having leprosy equates to being hopeless for life because it’s considered an incurable disease. Aside from that, itinuturing ding outcast ang mga ketongin because they are considered cursed.
Pero hindi nito napigilan ang lalaking ketongin para magtanong kay Jesus. Nang ma-meet niya si Jesus, he said, “Lord, if you are willing, make me clean.” To which Jesus replied, “I am willing.” At gumaling nga agad ang lalaki.
Ang sabi sa Hebrews 4:16, we can approach God’s throne with boldness and confidence because of what Jesus did on the cross. Sa halip na pangunahan ng negativity ang isasagot ng Diyos, why don’t we ask Him first. Instead of saying a lot of what ifs, why don’t we think, “What if God says yes?”
If it is His will, we are assured that He will always be willing to do it.
Whether we get a yes or no, we can be confident that God hears us whenever we pray. We can trust Him to work out everything! Thank you for joining us in our series “Yes or No” and see you tomorrow!
LET’S PRAY
Lord, help me to see life’s difficulties in a positive way. Alam kong may reason Kayo sa bawat bagay sa aking buhay. Give me courage and boldness to approach You and ask as Your child. Turuan Ninyo akong mag-pray with faith knowing my Father is merciful and willing to help me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
APPLICATION
Basahin ang Hebrews 4:16 at i-memorize ito. Whenever you overthink things in a negative way, recite this verse. After that, give your worries and present your requests to God in prayer.
