Bakit? Dahil ang verse na ito doesn’t just talk about the sin of man at ang kanyang punishment, pero sinasabi dito na darating si Jesus Christ to save us from the penalty of our sins.

Jesus’ birth was written about in the New Testament but He has been there since before the beginning of time, creating the heavens and the earth. Nabanggit ito sa Genesis 1:26 nang ginamit ang salitang “us” and “our”: “Let us make mankind in our own image.”

Going back to the story, sa direktang pagtugon sa pandaraya ng ahas at pagsuway nina Adam at Eve, sinabi ng Diyos ang mga sumpa sa bawat isa sa kanila, pati na rin sa mga susunod na salinlahi. Fast forward to many years later during the time of Jesus Christ.

Many scholars believe that this is pertaining to Jesus Christ, ang Anak ng Diyos. Sasaktan ni Satanas si Jesus ngunit magkakaroon Siya ng pangwakas na tagumpay by dying on the cross and conquering death once and for all.

Si Satanas ang naging kalaban ng sangkatauhan from the very beginning. Hindi siya mapagkakatiwalaan. Just like what Peter wrote, patuloy siyang nangangaso at naghahangad na ubusin ang mga tao hanggang ngayon (1 Pedro 5:8). But he will never have the last word. Someday, Jesus will come again, and Satan will meet his fate in the burning lake of fire. Have you made a decision on whose side you will be on?
