Kaya’t ang pananampalataya ay bunga ng pakikinig, at ang pakikinig naman ay bunga ng pangangaral tungkol kay Cristo.

Mga Taga-Roma 10:17

Hallyu, o Korean Wave, ang tawag sa mabilis na pag-usbong ng impluwensya ng Korean entertainment sa Asya. Sa Pilipinas pa lang, marami na ang na-hook sa K-drama at K-pop. Naging routine na ng K-drama fans ang binge watching o series marathon. At ang isa pang nakakabilib, na-memorize na ng K-pop fans ang mga kantang may Korean lyrics kahit hindi naman nila lubusang nauunawaan ito! And that’s not all, some of them have come to understand the lyrics dahil inaral nila ang Korean language for the love of the celebrities they admire!

If only we can give as much dedication in studying the Word of God! If K-pop fans can go the extra mile para pag-aralan ang isang foreign language, why can’t we give as much time, effort, and passion in digging deeper into the Scripture? Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” When we hear, read, and even memorize the Word of God, we will come to understand God’s will. We will know Christ more deeply and grow in His grace (2 Peter 3:18).
