Nangawit na si Moises kaya sina Aaron at Hur ay kumuha ng isang bato at pinaupo roon si Moises habang hawak nilang pataas ang mga kamay nito hanggang sa lumubog ang araw.

Exodo 17:12

Sa dulo ng bawat pelikula, may isang part na madalas ay hindi na napapansin. When lights turn on and some moviegoers start walking towards the exit, ipinapakita ang list ng mga taong gumanap sa end credits — from the main characters down to the extras and the people behind the scenes. Usually, maliliit ang pangalan ng mga hindi bida. They are not mentioned in trailers nor do their names written in posters, but they are important. Hindi mabubuo ang pelikula kung wala sila.

Maybe you also feel like an “extra” in someone else’s story. Hindi ikaw ang kumakanta sa stage pero you prepare the lyrics guide for the singers. Hindi ikaw ang nagpupunta sa bundok para i-share ang gospel pero nagpapaabot ka ng financial help para may makapunta roon. You may feel unnoticed but your role matters. 

Tulad nina Aaron at Hur sa Exodus 17 who kept Moses’ arms raised so the Israelites would win against the Amalekites, your faithful support matters. Hindi man ikaw ang nag-lead ng army tulad ni Joshua at hindi man ikaw ang humawak ng staff tulad ni Moses, you held up Moses’ arms. And because of that, Israel won.

This story reminds us that no role is too small in God’s kingdom. Madalas, God uses “ordinary” people like you and me to make extraordinary things happen. You may be quietly praying for the salvation of your family, volunteering and even shelling out your own money, sending encouraging messages to your leader, or simply obeying. In all these, you make God’s plan happen. Hindi ka man bida, pero importante ka at nakikita ka ni Lord.
