O Panginoon, pakinggan ninyo ang panalangin ko, at ng iba pang lingkod ninyo na nagnanais magparangal sa inyo. Pagtagumpayin po ninyo ako ngayon at loobin po ninyong kahabagan ako ng hari.

Nehemias 1:11

Have you ever faced a challenge so big that you feel paralyzed? Maybe God has placed a big dream in your heart, pero hindi mo alam kung paano magsisimula. The task ahead seems much bigger than your capability, making you feel overwhelmed. Paano ba mag-move forward when the task seems impossible? 

When faced with a big task, pray to our big God. Ito ang ginawa ni Nehemiah when he was faced with a big challenge. Jerusalem’s walls were in ruins, and people were discouraged. But instead of giving up or wallowing in self-pity, pinili ni Nehemiah ang mag-pray at humingi ng tulong sa Diyos.

Hindi nag-rely si Nehemiah sa kakayahan niya — he trusted God completely. After seeking God’s guidance and praying boldly  for months, he was given the opportunity to ask the king for permission to rebuild the walls. Hindi lang siya nito pinagbigyan, the king also provided resources para maayos ang nasirang pader ng Jerusalem. What a favor, ‘di ba?

Hindi ito aksidente — God was working through Nehemiah’s faith and prayers. At nang i-challenge siya ng opposition, Nehemiah stood firm, declaring his faith that, “The God of heaven will give us success” (Nehemiah 2:20, NIV).

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed kapag may task na mahirap at mukhang imposible. But, impossible is not in our big God’s vocabulary. If you are facing a big and impossible challenge, pray and boldly ask God for strength, favor, and provision.

Katulad ni Nehemiah, kulang ang kakayahan natin na gawin ang assignments na ibinibigay ni Lord. But, we can come to Him. No task is too big when He is leading the way. If obstacles come, stand firm, knowing that God is your strength. He equips those He calls!
