Blessed With Unli Power
This totally unfit worker reached out and served London’s poor, founded the Salvation Army, and lived ’til the age of 83.
“Oh God, help,” ang dasal ng isang preacher sa backstage, bago niya hinarap ang napakalaking crowd to share the gospel. Ang prayer na ito came from the lips of Englishman Charles Spurgeon, known as the “Prince of Preachers.” He knew that he could not share the gospel clearly without the power of the Holy Spirit.
May nakapagsabi na God’s strongest saints realize their weakness, and appeal to Him for strength. God’s strength, it is available. It is like no other. It is unlimited. It is all-powerful. And it is made perfect in man’s weakness. This is the kind of strength that He is ready to give to the willing and the weary. Remember David? Isang batang matapang at maka-Diyos who beat Goliath. Samson? Naitulak niya ang pillars para gumuho ang templo at maubos ang kaaway. What about Moses? He was given the power to divide the Red Sea and to defeat an entire Egyptian army without an army of his own. Remember Jesus, who endured physical, emotional, and mental pressures to fulfill God’s plan for the salvation of mankind.
Are you feeling inadequate? Nakakaranas ka ba ng pagod and you feel like giving up? O di kaya may takot sa puso mo and you fear what is ahead? Our “El Shaddai,” the Almighty God, is here. He never gives up and is ready to give you His kind of strength.
LET’S PRAY
El Shaddai, Omnipotent God, salamat at Kayo ang source namin ng unli strength. Please exchange my weakness for Your strength, my fears for faith. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
APPLICATION
Answer these reflection questions and remember the times when the Lord was your source of strength. When was the Lord a refuge and a shield? When was He a source of Hope? When did He renew your strength?
