Job 14:5

Do you want to live forever here on earth? Kung tatanungin mo si Jeff Bezos, one of the richest people in the world, he will probably say yes. Sa katunayan, nag-assemble siya ng isang team ng pinakamatatalinong scientists when he founded the start-up company Alto Labs. Ang goal nila: defeat death by figuring out how to reverse disease.

Job answered this question by saying that God has appointed the length of our lives. What does this mean for us? Should we live in fear day after day wondering, “Is this the day that I die?” We might if we think that God is a cruel master na robot lang ang tingin sa atin. But no, He is much, much more than that. Our God is our loving Father who cares about what happens to us, His children.

Jeff Bezos can spend all his wealth in his quest for immortality and fail. But for us na nagtitiwala kay Jesus bilang ating Panginoon at Tagapagligtas, sure na tayo na we will live forever with Him in heaven.

LET’S PRAY

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

APPLICATION

Normal ang magkaroon ng fear of death. We are afraid of the pain, of leaving our loved ones behind, of facing the unknown. Surrender this fear to the Lord and ask Him to give you peace and the hope of heaven through the Holy Spirit.
