Sinabi ng Diyos, “Ako’y si Ako Nga. Sabihin mo sa mga Israelita na sinugo ka ng Diyos na ang pangalan ay ‘Ako Nga’.”

Imagine yourself at a beachfront — sipping your favorite fruit juice, sitting under the shade of a palm tree, and listening to the sound of the waves — ito na siguro ang masasabi ng karamihan na living the best life? Kung araw-araw ay bakasyon, wala na siguro tayong poproblemahin pa. Masasabi siguro nating we are feeling happy and contented sa buhay. 

But sadly, gaano man karangya ang ating lifestyle, tayo man ang richest person in the world, o pinaka-popular na celebrity, we can never be fully satisfied.

Ang sabi ng French philosopher and scientist na si Blaise Pascal, “There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man, which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ.”

Even if we acquire a lot of things, lagi tayong makaka-feel na merong kulang. Kung anuman ‘yon, only God can fill it. God calls Himself, “The Great I Am” because that‘s who He truly is.

He is our Loving Father. He is our Good Shepherd. He is our ever-present Help in times of need. He is our Healer and our Firm Foundation. He is all these things and more.  

At para maging truly satisfied and happy in this life, kailangan nating hanapin ang kasagutan sa ating longings sa Kanya at wala nang iba.
