Narrated by Peter Kairuz & Written by Neryssa Bautista

We dislike discipline. Ayaw natin ‘yung feeling na pinagsasabihan at pinipigilan sa gusto nating gawin. Isn’t it the same ngayong adult na tayo? As adults, we see discipline as an attack on our willpower and decision making. Sometimes, we become stubborn kapag kino-korek tayo, or we feel frustrated dahil feeling natin we failed that’s why we need to be under discipline.

Hindi ito pagpaparusa kundi isang training to do what’s right. God disciplines us because He wants us to live a fruitful life. Through discipline, which is a process, dine-develop ni God ang character natin at pinapamunga Niya sa atin ang fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

It is God’s will na i-mold and i-refine tayo into the likeness of His Son Jesus dahil mahal Niya tayo at pinili Niya tayo. God loves us so much to leave us the same way we are today, kaya dinidisiplina Niya tayo with grace and wisdom. In the end, God’s discipline will turn out for our own good and success.
