Awit 90:12

Lahat ng tao sa mundo ay merong 24 hours each day but we all spend it differently. A person with an average lifespan of 79 years spends a lot of those years in different activities like sleeping, studying, eating, exercising, working, and connecting with other people.

Marami tayong ginagawa pero paano kung hindi na tayo umabot ng seventy-nineyears? What if today is our last day and we’ll meet God soon? Masasabi ba nating we’ve spent a well-lived and purposeful life?

Sa Psalm 90 na isinulat ni Moses, ipinag-pray niyang turuan tayo ng Diyos to number our days so we would gain a heart of wisdom. Nirequest niyang i-reveal sa atin ng Diyos kung gaano kaikli ang buhay so that we could make wise decisions. These wise decisions involve turning our back from sin, believing in Jesus as the payment for our sins, and following Him. When we gain a heart of wisdom, maiintindihan natin that our sins have consequences and if we continue to live in sin and reject Christ, we will receive God’s judgment. 

Hindi natin alam kung hanggang kailan tayo mabubuhay, but we know that death is inevitable. As the Lord teaches us to number our days, may we use our time to invest in things na alam nating eternal ang value. Each day is a gift from God. Let us use it for Him.
