Welcome to our series “Jesus in the Old Testament Offerings.” These past two days, we’ve seen how the ultimate burnt offering and grain offering are fulfilled in Jesus. Today, we will discover how Jesus is the real peace offering between man and God.

The proverbial peace offering refers to any kind gesture or the giving of a gift to someone you have offended. But do you know that the concept of a peace offering originates from the Old Testament?

Ang peace offering ang isa sa limang offerings mentioned in Leviticus 1 to 7. Like burnt and grain offerings, peace offerings are voluntarily offered by the Israelites.

This is a wonderful picture of the peace we have with God and believers through Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1–2; 1 John 1:7). And anyone who believes in Jesus can enjoy that peace and fellowship with other believers as well.

The burnt, grain, and peace offerings of the Old Testament are all shadows of Jesus Christ, yet they show the graciousness of God in providing a means for the people to be in communion with Him. Today, we no longer have a shadow, but we have the real Person ― Jesus Christ. Join us again tomorrow for our series “Jesus in the Old Testament Offerings.” Don’t miss it!
