Do you ever wish for God to release divine punishment on all the evil people in the land?

Wait lang. Take a deep breath. But wait. Let’s remember the Lord. According to the Bible, God is slow to anger. If you will read the book of Jonah, makikita mo na napaka-patient ng Panginoon. Ilang warnings ang pinadala Niya sa Nineveh. But their repentance did not last and because God, for all His goodness, is still a God of power and justice, He eventually punished them for their cruelty (Nahum 3:19).

We all get angry, but try not to let your anger rule you. Perhaps God is giving our nation another chance.

LET’S PRAY

Truly Lord, You are a God of mercy and justice. Help me to be slow to anger and quick to love, like You.

APPLICATION

What makes you angry? Observe yourself for one week and list down the things that anger and frustrate you at work, at home, and in our nation. Add these items to your Prayer List and at the end of the week lift all these things to God in prayer.
