Kaya’t lagi tayong mag-alay ng papuri bilang handog sa Diyos sa pamamagitan ni Jesus, papuring nagpapahayag ng ating pagkilala sa kanyang pangalan. At huwag nating kaligtaan ang paggawa ng mabuti at ang pagtulong sa kapwa, sapagkat iyan ang alay na kinalulugdan ng Diyos.

Mga Hebreo 13:15–16

One of the trending terms on the Internet now is the word, “ship” It’s a Gen Z slang that comes from the word relationship. So kung bet mo si Fidel para kay Klay, you will “ship” them to be in a relationship.

Another important word uses “ship” to describe someone who is worthy. That is the word, “worship.” It originates from two words, “worth” and “ship.” Among its many definitions, the word “ship” is a noun suffix, which means state or condition of being while “worth” means significant, valuable, deserving, meriting; honorable, noble, of high rank. The word “worship” is most commonly used to describe the “reverence paid to a supernatural or divine being.”

Worship is our response to God. Why? Because God is worthy. Pero paano nga ba talaga natin wino-worship ang ating Almighty God?

We can worship God by valuing or treasuring Him above all things. If we truly believe in God, we will acknowledge that He is truly above everything. We cannot exist without Him and that He is, indeed, worthy of our admiration (Colossians 1:17). Siya ang number one. Hindi natin truly mawo-worship ang Diyos kung hindi tayo naniniwala sa mga ginawa Niya at ginagawa Niya sa ating buhay.

Worshiping God means praising Him through actions, too. We can worship Him through sharing about His goodness, singing Christian songs, and praying during our worship services or personal quiet time. We can worship God through helping others, too, because as they say, worship is a lifestyle. Natural response natin sa isang mabuti at mapagmahal na Diyos (Psalm 145:8–9) ang paggawa ng mabuti at pagiging matulungin sa iba (Hebrews 13:16).

LET’S PRAY

Dear God, I pray na araw-araw kong maipakita sa Iyo ang aking pasasalamat through worshiping You sa pamamagitan ng aking mga sinasabi at mga kilos. Tulungan Mo po ako na maging mabuti sa iba kagaya ng ginawa Mong kabutihan sa akin. You are indeed worthy of our praise. Thank You, Lord.

APPLICATION

As an act of worship toward God, you can do an act of kindness to people you hardly notice (delivery rider, security guard, maintenance staff, etc.). Pray for them, too.
