“Ako ay Diyos na nasa lahat ng dako, at hindi nananatili sa iisang lugar lamang. Walang makakapagtago sa akin; makikita ko siya kahit saan siya pumunta. Sapagkat ako’y nasa lahat ng lugar sa langit at sa lupa.”

Jeremias 23:23-24

Have you looked out the window today, on your way to work? What about on the road? Ano ang nakikita mo? Kotse. Tao. Traffic. What do you see when you get home? Chores. Mga dapat lutuin, ayusin, labhan, at iba pa.

Minsan, sa sobrang pagod and because of the “cares of the world,” we focus on the things that bother us and struggle to see the beauty in our lives. We fail to see the little things that point to God and His grace. A beautiful, blue sky. A friend who sends us a nice message. A worship song that lifts our spirits.

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 23, God reminds His people that He is everywhere; “Ako’y nasa lahat ng lugar sa langit at sa lupa,” sabi sa verse 24. Even if we do not see or feel Him, kasama natin ang Panginoon. We can be in His presence at any time or place. As A.W. Tozer said in his book, The Pursuit of God: “Lift your heart and let it rest upon Jesus and you are instantly in a sanctuary though it be a Pullman berth or a factory or a kitchen. You can see God from anywhere if your mind is set to love and obey Him.”

LET’S PRAY

Lord, thank You for Your constant presence even if there are times when I am not spiritually sensitive enough to sense You. Patuloy po Ninyo  akong turuan na mahalin Kayo at sumunod sa Inyo, para mas maging aware ako sa presence Ninyo.

APPLICATION

Try to be more aware of God’s presence in your daily routine by paying attention to the small details that point to Him. Then pray and praise Him. Observe your surroundings. Pay attention to nature and praise God for the small things that catch your eye, like a tree in the city. Pray for the person next to you, sa bus, van, o jeep. Remember, God is everywhere!
