Hindi kaila sa inyo kung paano ako namuhay noon bilang masugid na kaanib ng relihiyon ng mga Judio. Walang awa kong inusig ang iglesya ng Diyos at sinikap na ito’y wasakin.

Mga Taga-Galacia 1:13

Ang bawat tao, may kuwento. Ang bawat tao, nag-eenjoy makinig at ma-involve sa kuwento. Kaya favorite pastime ng marami ang tsismisan. Kaya mataas ang ratings ng telenovelas at maraming hooked sa Netflix. Because of the power of story, millions of fiction titles as well as biographies and memoirs ang na-publish at nabenta na through the years.

Ang bawat taong nakakilala kay Cristo in a personal way, may powerful story to tell. Apostle Paul was the greatest persecutor of Christians before his dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6). Pero tinawag siya ni Cristo to preach to the Gentiles (Acts 22:21), and so he devoted the rest of his life proclaiming the Gospel.

Si Zacchaeus ay isang wealthy chief tax collector, despised by many, and called a “sinner” (Lucas 19:7). Umakyat siya sa sycamore-fig tree para makita at marinig si Jesus. Nang matanaw siya ni Jesus, tinawag siya at sinabihang bibisita ito sa bahay niya. In an instant, nangako si Zacchaeus na ibibigay niya ang kalahati ng wealth niya sa mga mahihirap at babayaran ng four times the amount ang sinumang niloko niya (Lucas 19:8).

Ang Samaritanang nag-iigib sa balon sa tanghaling tapat, may premarital affair after having five husbands (Juan 4:1-18). Nakipag-usap sa kanya si Jesus, which was unacceptable for several reasons. Una, magkaaway ang Jews at Samaritans (Juan 4:9). Pangalawa, men did not associate with women, who were considered second-class citizens. And third, immoral woman ito! Pero hindi siya nakadama ng condemnation from Jesus (Juan 4:19-26). Instead, nabuksan ang heart and eyes niya sa katotohanan about who Jesus really is. At ipinamalita niya si Cristo sa buong bayan (Juan 4:28-30).
