Did you know that we can read great love stories in the Bible? Halimbawa na lang ang kwento nina Isaac at Rebecca. It all started with the father of Isaac na si Abraham. Tumatanda na siya, and he needed to find a bride for his son. He prayed and asked God to help him. This led to him asking his loyal servant to find a wife for Isaac but not in Canaan but in the land where he was born (Genesis 24:1–4). Pero how will the servant know if the woman is the right one? “Kung ayaw pong sumama ng mapipili ko, maaari po bang si Isaac ang pumunta roon?“ tanong ng servant. “Aba! Hindi! Huwag mong papuntahin doon si Isaac,” tugon ni Abraham (Genesis 24:6–9) The servant prayed before and during the trip. His prayers were very specific, na ang Diyos lang ang makakasagot. The answered prayer, Rebecca, appeared before the servant finished praying. Long story short, she said, “I will go,” and decided to leave the land of her birth and family. Naging maayos naman ang lahat at “minahal ni Isaac si Rebecca” (Genesis 24:67).

Sa makabagong panahon naman, may isang babae ang nagkaroon ng napakaraming karelasyon hanggang siya ay nabuntis at hindi pinakasalan ng kanyang boyfriend. Binago ni Lord ang buhay niya when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Little did she know God prepared a godly man to be her husband. Naging magkaklase sila ng naging asawa niya sa Bible School, and they both became missionaries. What a God-honoring love story!
